Surfer Ian King Surfer

Despite my reluctance to post more of my work, I am going to keep moving in the hopes that one day it seems worth my time. This one I created for my Boss, he surf's every morning so I thought Surfer Ian from The Greeting Farm would be perfect. Amazingly enough, I got the background from an American Express credit card application! The paper was perfect and perfectly sized for the card! So here it is! For those of you who like my work but just don't comment, thank you for looking anyway!!

Couple Cards using Some Odd Girl stamps

Wow! But has it been difficult to craft! I sat down last night to make  shower card, which took me 2x's the amount of time to make than normal! :( Being broken seriously sucks when I can't even craft! Here is the one I made last night. It is for a bridal shower and I just thought Cupid Mae would work the best. I was going to try to incorporate an umbrella on the front but I ended up using it inside.

This card was part of a gift set using the colors of our ATV club, orange and white and I also used brown as that worked well with the colors. The stamp I used for this one was Spectacular Soiree that I had the awesome luck of naming and winning the digi stamp! (So glad you liked my name!!) I tried to keep the colors along the same scheme and added the happy birthday to the bottom. This card was made before I broke my rib! :)

I hope you enjoyed these cards! :)

Tickled Pink Card and News

Well, it looks like things will be slow moving for me in the next month, this last trip to the desert left me with a broken rib! I needed to make my Great Grandma a birthday card as we are celebrating her 97th birthday at The Derby! For those of you who aren't familiar with The Derby, it is a restaurant in Orange County that is a Dueling Piano Bar! So naturally I needed to make the appropriate card for her as the themes of the restaurant/bar are set in the 20's. What better digi stamp to use than DIGI STAMP - Lil Fashionette - 20's Evie!??!?! Tickled Pink Stamps is where she comes from. So along with Grandma's favorite color purple and her love of music, here are the results for the card. I also added pearls to her dress, stickles to her bow and rose, glassy effect on her eyes, and liquid pearls as the design elements. It took me twice as long to make this card as I didn't realize HOW much of my rib's play a part in crafting! :( So as a result I wont be able to make cards the way I used to....for a few weeks that is. In the meantime, Enjoy!

Thank you and A New Card!

HI! I want to thank everyone who commented on my Cute Chickies Blog Hop over the weekend and yesterday. I truly value each and every comment!

Here is another card I made. This one was made using some pink cardstock I had on hand and my Stampin Up paper pack and flowers. This card was for my Stampin Up Demonstrator so I had to make sure I used all Stampin Up products! :) It was from one of the Mini catalogs. I can't remember the name off hand of the stamp set I used but it is one of my favorites! It is so vintage!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Cute Chickies Blog Hop!

Those DeNami chickies are just so adorable aren't they? By now I am sure you have seen loads of fun chickies! You should have come from Laurie Willison's awesome blog!  If you lost your way and are starting here, you need to start back at the beginning at the DeNami website. (Click Here) Just can't get enough of those chickies!! Well it is so hard to choose which one to use but I decided, as one of my favorites, I'd do a Pirate Chickie card!! :)

I used Pirate Chickie for this Card and Notepad project.

For the card I used the Chocolate Chip SU paper with the Tim Holtz Kraft paper. It has the vintage looking ocean map on it and I love using it for pirate cards. I also used some old ribbon that worked with the little "coins" I made. After stamping my pirate with his treasure I drew the mounds of gold he is standing on. Stickles were added to both the gold and sword. :)

For the notepad, I embossed some Kraft paper and aged it with the chocolate chip ink and popped up the pirate again on his piles of gold. So fun!

Make sure you leave a comment here and on the other blogs listed in the hop. Check below for the rest of the blog hop details! Thanks to DeNami Design for holding another fun event!

NEXT STOP!!!!

Isn't her chickie project so cute?!??!?!?! :)

"Somebody That I Used to Know"

So after I saw the music video of the song, "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye (feat. Kimbra), aside from being in love with the song and video, I was totally inspired!! So I "cased" the music video and made a layout (card) of the music video. I actually had a lot of fun working on this! It was totally out of my zone! :) I use The Greeting Farm WS Paul and WS Jade as my models. What do you guys think? :)

Here is a link to the music video.
