Challenge!! SOG&MarkerPop Blog Hop

So when I finished hopping for the Some Odd Girl and Marker Pop Blog Hop - click here for that info (I also copied it to the bottom of this blog post), I couldn't resist! I sat down last night and made a holiday card using my Some Odd Girl stamp set, Kaylee's Closet! I used the party hat from the Party Time "expansion" and converted it to a witches hat. I am guessing that the challenge was talking about a Christmas themed card/project but I decided to do mine for Halloween as I am still excited for Halloween before Christmas and am getting in that spirit. But, I made a Christmas themed one with the same basic layout as well.  The web punch is from Martha Stewart and the flower is from Stampin Up. The papers are random clippings from my scrap papers. I am pretty sure the Christmas one is from Recollections, as well as the Christmas paper. The Trick or Treat stamp is from Stampin Up. :) And lastly, the flower in Kaylee's hair for Christmas is from Creative Memories. :)

From the Blog Hop:

Make a holiday themed project using either Some Odd Girl Stamps or a product found in the MarkerPop Store. Even better, if you have something from both, use both :)   This must be a NEW creation created specifically for our hop challenge, no backlinking! Please make it clear that you are playing along with our challenge my mentioning/linking to our hop. Easy enough, right?  I can’t wait to see what you create!
Up for grabs is a 4X3 Some Odd Girl stamp set of winner’s choice! One winner will be chosen at random from all the participants. This contest will end on Saturday September 15th at noon EST and a winner will be chosen the following Monday along with the grand prize hop winner.
If you haven’t hopped yet, be sure to visit the designers participating in this blog hop, start at the top of the list.  Also don’t forget to leave a comment for another chance to be entered into our prize drawing.

Just thought I'd share a little inpspiration technique. So after I was shopping at Target, I got my husband's body wash and noticed how nice the label was! So I got home and after dinner I sat down to make a card based off the Old Spice Label using Kaylee's Closet and Summer Treat accessories!. And here ya have it folks!

Next I wanted to show you the card I made for my friends "Martini Girl" themed Bridal shower. I used the Martini girl freebie from Sassy Designs for this card.  I used the sentiment from Stampin Up.

Tim Holtz 12 Tag's of 2012- Sept

I had a lot of fun using Tim's techniques for this tag. I didn't have any foil tape so what I found was the backing to the inside of my new SonicCare toothbrush. The cardboard was so nice and shiney that I just thought it could come in handy. Well it did! I got it out and used the same techniches for the rivets and for the lines I just drew them in with my bone folder.

I didn't have the typewriter or any gears on hand but I did have a Stampin Up punch that was gears so I used that on the scrap pieces of shiney paper to make the gears. I also used my Papertrey Ink Shutterbug Special stamp set instead of a typewriter.

And the final touch? I stuck this one up in my husband's tool board in the garage! LOL! :)
