Thank You!!

Thanks to all those that checked out my partiticpating project for the "Anything But A Card" DeNami Blog Hop!! It was a blast making the project and hopping along to all those talented crafters out there! I had so much fun!

As part of my thanks, here is a look at my ThanXgiving card for this year. I used The Greeting Farm's Wild Sprout Summer for the main focal image, she is so cute and I thought she would be pefect for a thankful card. I added 2 DeNami pumpkins from the Mini set as her fall decor. I found some old ribbon and used that as it said "autumn" on it.

As a finishing touch, I used stickles on Summer and Glassy Effects on the pumpkins. I hope everyone has a Wonderful ThanXgiving!!!

PS. If you are wondering why I put the "X" in ThanXgiving- it is just my way as I love Marvel's X-Men and anytime I can use an X somewhere I will. :)

DeNami Anything But a Card Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone!! Wow what a FUN hop this is going to be as it was so much fun creating!! You should have hopped here from Laurie Willison's site, didn't she have an adorable project?? Now if you didn't start at the beginning make sure you get back to the DeNami blog.

So I was browsing through some websites and found this template for a paper mug. I thought it was so adorable that I thought I had to try it for this Blog Hop. The template is available here at Split Coast Stampers. So I used some older scrapbook paper that I had on hand for this project. I Cut out the pieces and assembled the cup. Then I Stamped 3 of the adorable puppy(E148) in stocking stamp on offwhite cardstock, colored them, then added liquid pearl to the whites of the stocking I ended the paper with the Curly Bulb (C47). I adhered that to some red vellum I had on hand and used the tacky tape to put it on the cup. I also used two different border punches for the green trip. By the way, I used tacky tape on all the pieces of the cup to make sure it stayed together. Then I thought about what to put in the cup. I got some red colored tea (English breakfast) to add inside then I decided to make some little tea bags. Inside they are attatched like the tea bag would be only when you pull out the string it is a mini notepad! Each one is stamped with a DeNami stamp on the pages. DeNami Stamps used: Puppy in Stocking E148, Sm Poinsettia B99, C47 Curly Bulb. I finished it off with a gold and red ribbon.

Thank you so much for checking out my blog for the blog hop!!! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

He{Art} Journaling Week 16

I was so happy that this week was with hearts!! This month (and a few days) is our 1 year wedding anniversary! My wedding ring is in the shape of a heart so hearts became another favorite symbol for me. So I used our anniversary for the Heart to Heart. His Heart to My Heart (and vice versa). I "painted" the paper with water mixed with the Stampin Up ink refills and the frost paint from Stampin Up. It gave it a really pretty sheen that isn't in the photos like it is looking at it. I also added heart shadows to the photos before I printed them. I also used the "paste into" function in Photoshop for the little Heart Picture buttons. :) Thanks for looking and any comments!

DeNami Baby Card

Okay so I made a card for one of my best friends for her baby shower. She is doing to awesome thing of not finding out the sex of the baby. I just love that!! I want to do the same thing when the time comes! So here is the card I created. I got the template from the splitcoaststampers message board and cut out the "onzie" on SU Wild Wasabi cardstock, green is the Mom's fav color. Then I used some scraps of paper that had a little pink in it for the color accent. I stamped the Giraffe and colored it using the blender pens and SU inks. I then did the faux stitches all around the outfit. I even faux stitched inside and where the image was as if the paper was really sewed on. I added the buttons and even put a button inside to give it the "dimensional" look. I added som Wild Wasabi Gross-grain ribbon. I forgot to save the picture of the inside of the card in my phone but I may be able to post that later. To finish it off, I used the glass effects on the giraffe and then used a little stickles to add some subtle bling. I was really happy with this card and I hope you all like it! :)

Stickin To It

So I have a bunch of stickers than I rarely use, which is why I forgot them at my parents house when I moved and have yet to pick them up. I didn't remember this until I sat down to work on these pages. SO I did what came to mind, I colored. I had recently drawn Halloween pictures with my friend's daughter and felt inspired. Even when I was a kid I tried to stay in the lines, I have just always been very particular about that. So this time I just sat down and colored whatever felt good. I had no plan in mind, only that I would add the stickers to what I colored afterwards. So here it is.

Post Halloween!!

I hope everyone had a fun Halloween! We did! I made little gift bags of candy for my co-workers and then bought a "take and bake" pizza from Papa Murphy's called the "Jack O' Lantern Pizza." It was delicious!! We had about 50 or so Trick or Treaters come by. Most were spooked by our house because of the enclosed gate they had to go through. So all in all it ended up being great. Did you do anything out of your normal Halloween rituals?
