Some Odd Girl May Sketch Challenge

Wow I didn't think I would make this in time. But as soon as those new stamps came in I just COULDN'T RESIST! I am thinking this Mermaid set is my favorite stamp set of all time.

So for this one I used some scrap papers (I have been on a scrap paper kick of late, using any small pieces I have on hand that work together) of pink and blue-green that I had which ended up being the perfect size! I didn't even need to cut them just glued them to some white cardstock. I then punched two horizontal punches and threaded some ribbon through. I stamped the waves and cut out a circle for the life preserver. The colors I used for this card was Melon Mambo and Bermuda bay from Stampin Up. I used the Mambo to color the life preserver and her hair. Bermuda was the fin and the outline. I added some scales with the pen and some stickles to her hair and fin and starfish top (colored in generic orange with orange stickles). I loved making this card and I am so excited to use this stamp some more!!! :) Some other finishing touches and voila! Enjoy!

Get Well Card

So here is a little Get Well Card I made for a relative recovering from surgery. I just ADORE the Ollie digi stamps from Some Odd Girl Stamps!! :) I used a Palm Tree and banana stamp from DeNami Designs and ripped some brown paper and aged it for the ground. I used copics to color Ollie (I don't have the #'s with me) I hand cut the sun out with yellow and orange paper, popped up the tree and used a brown brad to attach Ollie to the tree so he can swing (so cute!). Then drew in a few birds in the sky. The intent was to make a cute fun card to cheer her up. I hope I accomplished that and that you enjoyed the card as well. Thanks for looking and any comments you have are appreciated. Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

May DeNami Blog Hop: Pretty Pastels!

Hello!! Another awesome Blog Hop sponsered by DeNami! You should be hoppin on over from Pam Wendt http://www.handwerkbypamela.com/ 's blog. If not be sure to check out the DeNami blog by clicking on the above image and starting from the beginning.

For this challenge I wanted to make cards for a newborn so I made a set for girls and boys. I hand designed a baby bib buy cutting a circle then 1/2 punched it with the 1 1/4" punch. I then stamped the baby girl or the baby boy stamp and circle punched them out with the 1 1/4" and adhered to the scallop. After that I tied a ribbon around to "tie" it together, added stickles and voila! Lots of fun on this blog hop again! Enjoy and thanks for checking out my blog!

FB Brights Challenge!

HI! Not sure if my photo uploaded correctly so I decided to make a blog post for this as well. I was so excited to participate in the Brights Challenge! So out of my comfort zone trying not to use brown (as that is my fav color) but using the Melon Mambo SU color was so fun! This card is only using the Melon Mambo, Summer Sun, and an old florescent green color I had. I stamped the flowers in pink then masked them and colored the white background with the green. Stamped the grass and popped up my adorable Oddie and there ya have it! So FUN!!
