DeNami Anything Goes Theme Challenge

Wow! I didn't think I was going to get anything ready in time! I put together this little Superhero Chickie card for my friend and wanted to use it for this challenge. I wanted to use superhero colors and just make the card simple. So, I embossed the red, used my new Framelets and cut out the accents for my little Super Chickie as the center!

I hope you enjoy! Keep on Stamping!

Warning!

So I bought some white cardstock from Michael's, the Recollection brand. Upon opening the plastic and after using some of the paper I noticed something ODD on the paper.

Smashed and completely flattened like paper, was a dead fly.

Who knew that I would find that!!! Yuck! There were 2 parts to the dead fly (fly's) but I didn't take a picture of the other one. It had more of the green parts that were shiny on the fly.

Has anyone had this happen to them or am I the only unlucky one??

2 Hearts Kody & Mae

When I saw this digital stamp I totally fell in love! I am not one for Valentine's Day but I adore love stories and romance! So, I used the 2 Hearts Kody and Mae to make a congratulations card for my cousin's marriage. Her colors were black and red so I went with that theme. It is hard to see on the black, but I embossed little roses on the cardstock before adding the image.

Add some stickles and  a little bling and VOILA! Beautiful! :) I love this digi!!

Lothaire

Anyone read Kresley Cole? Gena Showalter and her are my FAVORITE authors!! I am almost finished reading Lothaire and thought I would share the bookmark I made for the book. I used the WS Jeremy to represent Lothaire and I think he really worked out well. I inked my embossing folder with SU Craft ink then embossed it, dusted it with the powder and then heat set it. I cut a piece of red cardstock as the design element as I didn't want too much to pop up as it is a bookmark. I also wrote a quote from the book and adhered it to the back. In the midst of all this I somehow marked his face with black so I ended up making a nose on him. :) Enjoy!

Please let me know what you think by commenting! :) Have a wonderful day!

Cheeky Beach Card

HI Everyone!!

Wow it has been a LONG time since I have been able to get a card done! I have been so busy working on another couple projects (which I will post one day) that I haven't been able to play with my new stamps I got for Christmas from my best friend!

So here is a Cheeky Beach card, made using the Cheeky Beach (The Greeting Farm) stamp, The K49 Bamboo Shoot (DeNami Design), B93 Mini Turtle (DeNami Design), and the Martini Glass from the dormant or retired Cheer to You (Stampin Up).

This card was a collaborative effort from my Mom and Me. We embossed Cheeky Beach, the Martini Glass, and the Turtle then colored them. After that we added stickles and glass effects to the Martini glass. We also cut out the bamboo shoots and popped a couple up. Cheeky is also popped up.

We had a wonderful time making this card, Enjoy!

Jan Valentine Hop Blog Hop

Hello everyone!! What a welcome to the New Year by having a blog hop! I hope your New Year was super fun and exciting!!
First off, you should be arriving here from the crafty Kimberly Kendle 's blog. If you missed the start you should begin at the the DeNami blog to make sure you get all the blogs to be eligible for the prizes! :)

Here's the deets for my cards:

For the Valentine cards I made for this blog I used the DeNami M55 Large Heart Cookie ( so cute! ) and the XOXO D62 stamp. As an X-Men fan I love X's! I usually try add them wherever I can and this was the perfect opportunity. I used them as the background for most of the cards and the accent. All the cookies are "frosted" by some means, either glassy effects or iridescent ice. The pictures don't really do the "frosting" justice. This time I also used a sewing machine on the cards for the first time! I just got my own sewing machine and am still trying to get the hang of it.

This one was "frosted" using SU Iridescent Ice and I cut out the roses from the cookie stamp. This is the only one picture that kind of shows the gloss from  my cookie's "frosting".

I love the red of the cookie. :)

I wanted to use blue to make it more "manly" for a guy. This is the only one I dry embossed with the little circles for the texture.
This one was actually the last one I made. I used the cutout around as the mask to put the irridescent ice in the middle of the cookie. The piece looked neat against the brown cardstock so I decided to make one extra card. I think it ended up being my favorite.

Thank you SOOOO much for checking out my blog! I hope everyone has been having lots of fun by now and I am sure you will have more fun along the way, so head on over to
